Niagara Falls is the most famous and most visited waterfall in the world, consists of three separate waterfalls, located where Niagara River splits around Goat Island and Luna Island: Horseshoe Falls is the largest and most spectacular, is on the Canadian side of the border. American Falls is on the American side. The waterfalls are separated by Goat Island, New York. Is smaller in size, a small section of the American Falls near Goat Island is also known as Bridal Veil Falls.

The historical roots of Niagara Falls are in the glaciation which culminated about 10,000 years ago. Both the Great Lakes region of North America as the Niagara River are effects of continental glaciation. It was a huge glacier that advanced on the eastern area of Canada as a large bulldozer grinding rocks and soil. Tourism!
